In this episode of Half Size Me, Heather interviews Betty Lou, a 73-year-old grandmother (and great grandmother), who lost 120 pounds in 19 months!
Even more amazing is the fact she started when she was 69-years-old and now holds the Guinness World Record for longest plank hold for a woman.
You’ll be inspired and motivated after you hear Betty Lou’s amazing story. She proves it’s never too late to take control of your life, and that getting healthy, like age, is a state of mind.
Betty Lou’s Bio (from her About page): “In February of 2010 I started working out with a personal trainer at Anytime Fitness. Slowly the weight dropped until I was down 110 pounds and a size four. I still work out with my trainer three days a week but work out on the other four days on my own.
I make sure I take a minimum of 10,000 steps a day and push my self every day. I was Anytime fitness success story of the year in 2011 and have the joy of breaking the Guinness book of world records for holding the abdominal plank for at the time was longer than any one had done it in the entire world.
My record has since been beaten by a man from Illinois but I still hold it world wide for woman. I am very proud of that feat.”
